We think it is important to talk about how “Shepherd Realty” evolved as it goes to the heart of who we are and how we do business. Shepherd is a direct reference to our three German Shepherds that we raised over the last 20 years.
We wanted to operate our business on the same principles that our Shepherds portrayed – amazing loyalty, trust and a wonderful care factor. We feel that these traits align with our business model in how we care about our clients, landlords, tenants, tradies and referral partners. Building trust and loyalty is so important in any business, particularly real estate.
Shepherd Realty is a family-owned and run business specialising in Sales and Rentals. We are paperless and operate all our programs and systems in the cloud allowing us to be mobile agents with no restriction to areas in which we service. Some of our landlords have properties on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane and Ipswich. This would normally mean a landlord would have to have multiple agents, however, we can manage properties from North Brisbane to outer Ipswich, east to Redcliffe and down to Coolangatta and everywhere in between.
While Shepherd Realty is relatively new, our experience is extensive. Julie started in real estate in Queensland age 17 yrs and completed a 2 year Real Estate/Valuation TAFE course by age 21 yrs and was out selling real estate on completion. Julie also has spent many years as a highly trained Conveyancing Manager before taking up an opportunity to become a Mortgage Elimination Consultant helping people pay off their mortgages quickly as an Independent Finance Broker for 13 yrs. When the GFC hit the lending market,
Julie went back into real estate in 2011 and Shepherd Realty was started in March 2021 from scratch with Jakob as Licensee and principal. Jakob has been in real estate since 2016 when he worked on the Gold Coast for a company selling off- the-plan properties which gave him a love for the Gold Coast lifestyle and real estate. This led to
Jakob completing his full licence course and opening his own agency as principal of Shepherd Realty.
